Reconciliation Definitions

Create, edit, and version recon definitions that drive your matching logic.

8 min readdefinitionsmatchingrules

A recon definition specifies which sources to compare, which fields to match, and how tolerances apply.

Matching Keys

Define primary and secondary keys (e.g., trade ID, ISIN + settlement date). FVI hashes these to pair rows.

Tolerance Ladders

Set absolute or percentage thresholds for numeric fields. Rows within tolerance match; outside tolerance become breaks.

Cascades

Configure multi-pass matching: exact → fuzzy → rule-based. Each pass runs in order until a match is found.

Versioning

Every edit creates a new version. Roll back to any prior version under Definition → History.
